Abstract:

This memorandum describes equations presently being used in the performance prediction model. The model described can be used to predict sonar detection capability for any predetermined own-ship and target tactics. The program is designed to incorporate all applicable environmental information and therefore may be used in any desired geographical area. Also, the program is general enough to be applied to not only existing sonar systems but to future anticipated systems.
