This program consists of two parts. In the first part, which represents a continuation of the earlier flame work, attempts were made to produce high column densities of SnSnO, SiSiO and GeGeO in H2N2O flames containing metal additives. Quantitative measurements on the kinetic behavior of these species were carried out to determine their lasing potential in this environment. In the second part, detailed measurements on the reactions of SnP3 sub 0 and P3 sub 1 with N2O were carried out using a fast flow reactor and a tin atom generator. Rate constants of processes bearing on the production and quenching of SnO3 sigma were determined.
