Ten cyclonic and three anticyclonic Gulf Stream rings were identified using 700 bathythermographs and STDs between 22 June and 9 July 1975. Two cyclonic rings were tracked for 7 and 11 months, and an anticyclonic ring was tracked for 10 months.
