Abstract:
Environmental protection and enhancement of the natural resources of Army installations has become an integral part of the design, construction, operation, and maintenance activities on those installations. In 1975, the U. S. Army Engineer Waterways Experiment Station WES began a study to provide environmental baseline descriptions for use in the management of Fort Carson natural resources. The overall objective of the study was to demonstrate environmental baseline methodologies and to use these methodologies and procedures to collect environmental baseline data that were pertinent to the Fort Carson Long Range Environmental Program. This report presents the detailed environmental data collected on wildlife and wildlife habitats at Fort Carson, Colorado, during the period 1 August 1975 to 1 March 1977.
