Abstract:

This Validation Summary Report VSR for the CDC Cyber COBOL COmpiler Version 5.1 RL 460NOSBE Version 1.2 provides a consolidated summary of the results obtained from the validation of the subject compiler against the 1974 COBOL Standard X3.23-1974FIPS PUB 21-1. The compiler was validated at the high level of FIPS PUB 21-1. The VSR is made up of several sections showing the discrepancies found. These include an overview of the validation which lists all categories of discrepancies by levelmodule within X3.23-19, a section relating the categories of discrepancies to each of the Federal levels of the language and a detailed listing of discrepancies together with the tests which were failed.
