A review of current air data measurement techniques in Naval aircraft was conducted. Future requirements were identified for three classes of aircraft conventional, fly-by-wire, and VSTOL. A survey of state-of-the-art air data sensors was performed based on information obtained from current literature, correspondence, and personal interviews with major government contractors, government agencies, and private companies. The major areas covered include pressure, airspeed, fiber optics, laser gyros, temperature, and fuel quantity.
