Abstract:

Two methods are described to model the moisture uptake and internal distribution in fiber reinforced organic composites in real outdoor environments. Required for the calculations are the diffusion coefficients of the composites as a fraction of temperature and the moisture equilibrium concentration as a function of relative humidity. The effect of moisture barriers is briefly discussed. Author
