Abstract:

A set of FORTRAN subroutines has been implemented at Rice University for the display of clusters on a Tektronix 4013 graphics terminal. The subroutines display each point as a character on a portion of the screen determined by the user. Once the main subroutine has been called, the user can interactively select one or more of the following functions 1 Displays a sample of the ponts 2 Selectively displays one or more clusters 3 Zooms into a small section of the display area 4 Displays only a small section of the display area 5 Displays all but a small section of the display area 6 Constructs decision boundaries according to criteria set up by the user 7 Allows the user to identify points in the display area and returns the coordinates in an array upon exit from subroutine 8 Produces a hardcopy of the display on a line printer 9 Produces a hardcopy of the display on CalComp plotter.
