Abstract:

The capability of oxidizing refractories in waste water by hydrogen peroxide ultra-violet treatment had been demonstrated by laboratory experiments. The purpose of this project was to determine data which will permit an engineer to design a full-scale hydrogen peroxide-ultra-violet treatment facility. This data was developed for the most difficult refractory, acetic acidacetate, in waste water and the results show that the engineer may design for minimum time or minimum energy utilization. Author
