This report contains technical descriptions of the Automated Technical Control ATEC equipments which comprise the Communications Performance Monitoring-Assessment System ANGYM-12V. The ANGYM-12V and its major subsystems provide automated performance monitoring and assessment of communications circuits and equipments in Technical Control Facilities TCFs of the Defense Communications System. The heart of the ANGYM-12V is the Nuclear Subsystem NSS, which provides centralized control for automated performance assessment of communications monitored by a TCF. The ATEC Terminal Elements ATEs permit the ANGYM-12V to monitor at any point within the communications network, from a single digital or voice frequency VF circuit to a broadband radio link containing many circuits. The performance capabilities and design characteristics of the individual ANGYM-12V equipments are presented in tabular form. Equipment block diagrams and photographs are provided. Applicable ATEC specifications, manuals, reports and other documents are listed.
