NAVAL HEALTH RESEARCH CENTER SAN DIEGO CALIF
Pagination or Media Count:
The purpose of the present study was to determine whether the Recruit Temperament Survey RTS can predict psychiatric hospitalization for the first two years and the last two years of a sailors first enlistment in the U.S. Navy. The results indicate that the RTS is not predictive of early hospitalization, with those men hospitalized during their first two years of enlistment admitting to more difficulty in school, relating to other people, admitting to more somatic complaints, anger, depressive and sleep disturbance symptoms than those men hospitalized during their second two years of enlistment.
