Abstract:

The determination of complex systems reliability has become a subject of great concern to reliability engineers. As systems become increasingly complex, determination of system reliability becomes increasingly difficult. The purpose of this report is to survey some of the most recent developments in this area with a view to expose reliability engineers to these techniques. An algorithm that seems to be the most efficient to date is delineated. The concepts surveyed are then extended to calculation of time dependant complex systems reliability and the availability of repairable systems.
