At critical incidence of equivoluminal waves, the wave motion evanesce in the case of an isotropic, elastic, hollow cylinder with traction-free cylindrical surfaces. However, it is shown that in this critical situation the wave motion can be obtained by using a suitable limiting procedure. Author
