This research sought to identify predictors of Procurement Contracting Officer PCO performance. The sample was taken from PCOS IN Aeronautical Systems Division, Air Force Systems Command, Wright-Patterson AFB in 1975-76. The research examined the relationships between PCO leadership characteristics, job motivation, influence styles and PCO performance to determine if the forementioned variables would be useful as predictors of PCO performance. The research hypotheses that leadership, job motivation, and influence style are related to performance were not supported. The authors conclude that these variables cannot be used as PCO performance. Based upon the research results some recommendations for future research were made. Author
