Abstract:
This report addresses the question of where current Energy R and D can help DOD carry out its mission in the face of petroleum fuel cost and supply problems. Energy-motivated R and D objectives of benefit to DOD are separated into those that should be uniquely DODs responsibility, and those that are properly the concern of the national R and D program. Within the national program, areas where DOD may benefit by cooperating in controlled tests are noted.
