Abstract:

The theory of far-field radiation from intense spherical and cylindrical sources has been extended to include effects of directivity. Examples include the dipole, quadrupole, and baffled piston. Experimental measurements of the directivity of harmonics when the source is a piston are discussed to show the extent of validity of the theory. Author
