Abstract:

This case study presents some of the internal human relations problems that do or could exist in a project management office. The major issues presented are focused on the interpersonal relations between the military officer and his civilian counterpart in the project office. The case provides a teaching vehicle upon which the instructor can highlight salient teaching points in the areas of perception, management styles, communications, and individuals needs. In addition, the case will enable the DSMS student to better understand and gain a better appreciation of each others needs, goals and of how they effect the interpersonal relations within the project management team.
