Chemiluminescence, infrared, and nuclear magnetic resonance measurements have all been successfully used to detect changes in epoxy and urethane systems which soften when subjected to moisture andor temperature. The data from these measurements correlated with changes in the polymer systems are determined by weight gain or loss and hardness tests.
