In the study of a Navy Project Office, the primary reasons for change in any organization were explored. The most striking reasons for organizational changes found were Advancement in Technology Centralization, and Urgency. The study outlines the project since its inception in 1951 and follows the various organizational changes thru 1975. Major areas of change are described and management concepts obtained and compared to recognized writers in the field of management.
