Abstract:

This study examines segments of the CostSchedule Control Systems Criteria CSCSC to determine maximum utilization as innovative and integrative tools within the program management office. Program management as a method of controlling the development of a weapon system has proven viable. The increasing cost of these systems, however, requires improvement in management efficiency. CostSchedule Control Systems Criteria serves to validate the contractor in a way that benefits both the contractor and government interests and, at the same time, facilitates improved efficiency. The reports of management information available to the PM, such as Cost Performance Reports, are productive grounds for management improvement, given current constraints on funding.
