Pagination or Media Count:
In this study, an autotutorial system was established and tested. The system comprised an initial group counseling followed by three periods of individual media instruction. Within the treatment group, the Gingival Bleeding Index and the Personal Hygiene Performance index declined 70 and 28 respectively. A 75 difference in the GBI and a 33 difference in the PHP, in favor of the treatment group, was also seen when the treatment group was compared to the control group at the follow-up examination. This data would tend to support the contention that a media based system could serve as an effective vehicle for patient counseling in oral health. Author
