Abstract:

The induced surface current density on a two-dimensional air foil type wing by a Transverse Magnetic wave is studied in this report. The reaction concept is employed to formulate an integral equation for the structure. The surface current density is expanded with subsectional bases. The dielectric body is modeled with polarization current which is then expanded in terms of subarea bases. By enforcing reaction tests with an array of electric test sources which are the same as the expansion bases Galerkins method, the moment method is employed to reduce the integral equation to a system of simultaneous linear equations. Inversion of the matrix equation yields the current distribution.
