Emission spectra from two vibronic levels of H2CO have been obtained after a tunable dye laser excitation. From the measurement of the emission intensity distribution under varying pressures, the radiative transition rate from the 51 level was found to be approx. 1.8 times greater than that from the 1141 level. This confirms the earlier suggestion that v sub 5 mode enhances the emission rate, inconsistent with the expectation based on the absorption.
