Abstract:

A longitudinal study of MBA alumni 10 years out of school resulted in the development of a High Earners Scale, consisting of 45 items for the SVIB, GZTS, and an Individual Background Survey. This scale predicted the earnings of 100 men in an independent sample with an r of .38. The items consisted of several factors including Energy, Ascendance, and Social Extraversion. A conceptual model that is descriptive and possible normative was developed for manager development. This is an interactive model including personal qualification, type of business organization and phases of career development. Why the computer has not been used more successfully in manager education, and in decision making by modeling was explained. The communication between computer specialists and organization executives needs improvement for desirable use of the computer.
