Abstract:

This handbook provides failure rates and reliability models to predict the life cycle reliability of missiles. The reliability prediction methodology uses the parts count approach where average failure rates are given for classes of devices which can be directly input to the reliability model. Storage non-operating and operating failure rates are available for electronic, electrical electromechanical, ordnance, hydraulic and pneumatic devices. As an example, a reliability prediction is made for a hypothetical missile.
