HIS REPORT DESCRIBES INSTRUMENTATION DESIGNED TO MEASURE THE PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS OF BASE MOUNTED ANTENNAS DURING A LOW ALTITUDE HYPERSONIC FLIGHT. The parameters to be measured include reflection coefficients, interantenna coupling and electron density in the vicinity of the antennas. Standard PAMFMFM telemetry system is used for data transmission through a two antenna system mounted on the side of the nosecone. The telemetry antennas are also used as a supplementary diagnostics tool. The instrumentation was designed to be housed within a slender eight degree half-angle cone having a 22.9 centimeter diameter base. Author
