A shunt regulator design was developed for the LES-8 and -9 satellites. Design alternatives are compared, and a 100 kHz switching regulator was developed to system specifications. Test data are presented for the final regulator system. Transient and small signal regulator response are derived from an analysis of each mode of regulator behavior. Author
