Moving Target Indicators MTIs on moving platforms present a special problem of clutter cancellation because of the motion of the platform in relation to fixed objects. The returns from fixed objects must be filtered out as clutter. A technique was developed for designing antenna correction patterns to minimize clutter residue, averaged over all angles. It is to be used with the Displaced Phase Center Antenna DPCA system and can achieve and average clutter cancellation equal to that of an MTI on a stationary platform.
