The volume is an introductory level, edited textbook which presents the basic principles of Soviet psychology and considers the application of these psychological principles to the military context. Thus, Military Psychology may be profitable reading for the western psychologist who has an interest in Soviet psychology as well as for the reader who desires specific knowledge concerning the application of psychological principles in the armed forces of the Soviet Union. However, it should be noted that a more descriptive title might be General Psychology for Military Officers.
