Abstract:

The basic question is whether Reserve Component units are meeting their interim pre-mobilization training goals, and to determine the inhibiting factors. The research involved reviewing FORSCOM IRs for all Reserve Component infantry battalions and companies in New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts discussions with unit commanders a unit commanders opinion survey and personal observations based on visits to all infantry battalions, brigades, and division headquarters in these states on numerous occasions during the past two years.
