Abstract:

The technical report describes in detail the modifications needed to update the manually-controlled WCCM Experimental Model hardware so that system control, data acquisition, reduction and parameter display for various scenarios can be accomplished by a minicomputer. The modular organization of the report into independent analysis hardware and software sections allows the software-oriented user to prepare detailed programs directly from the supplied flowcharts without being required to be familiar with hardware details or the rationale for a specific implementation. Conversely, the hardware-oriented user interested in isolating a malfunction is supplied with detailed information on the newly-added equipment and its interrelationship with the original WCCM configuration. The report consists of four main sections WCCM Experimental Model Operational Summary Hardware Definition Software Definition Integration and Test.
