LAMPS Simulations: I. The Relationship Between Gate and Hook Circle Sizes and Time to Hook.

Eight subjects were used to determine the relationship between gate and hook circle sizes and time to hook a target. The data show a hooking time decreases as a function of increases in gate size, b deviations between target and hook symbol centers increase as a function of increases in gate size, and c circle size appears to have little or no effect on hooking precision or time scores. A larger gate size and coincidence between circle diameter and gate size were recommended for use in the LAMPS weapon system.
