Two Finite Queues in Tandem with Pure Delay and Overflow.

Two single server queues with finite capacities are arranged in tandem. The arrival process to the first server is a Poisson stream with rate lambda. The respective service times in the two servers are mutually independent, negative exponential distributed random variables, independent of the arrival process, with rates Mu sub 1 and Mu sub 2 respectively. The queue is assumed to be of first-come, first-served discipline. Both the pure delay BCD and the overflow BCO models are considered. The steady state solution is given.
