Abstract:

In a recently published paper by I. M. Lifshitz and the author, general equations were obtained determining the exact dispersion law and form of surface waves in a crystal, regarded as a discrete structure. In the present paper these equations are subjected to a detailed investigation for several simple models of crystal lattices.
