Abstract:

A procedure has been developed for the analysis of 131I in grass where none of the iodine escapes before exhange with the added iodine carrier and all of the iodine species exchange with the iodine carrier regardless of whether the radioactive iodine is specifically elemental iodine, methyl iodide or hypoiodous acid which are the suspected species escaping from the nuclear plant.
