This technical report takes into account the existing equipment limitations and shipboard constraints. Using the present state-of-the-art as a baseline, an outline of an R and D program will be developed. Accomplishment of such a program is expected to reduce or to eliminate, in future ships, the effects of the existing equipment limitations and shipboard constraints.
