Five areas of research are covered 1 the mechanism of production of electronically excited states by gamma rays, 2 the properties of polar fluorescent exciplexes, 3 nonradiative decay processes in the quenching of excited states, 4 some studies of the kinetics of decay of free radicals produced photochemically, and 5 some of our early work in the photochemistry of organometallic compounds.
