Abstract:

The AC plasma display panel is presently being sold by a number of large corporations and is satisfying a wide range of display applications. However most of its excellent characteristics have been achieved through empirical efforts. The thesis presents both theoretical and experimental results that begin to explain some of the detailed physical characteristics of this device.
