Abstract:

Five Engineering Sample Filters were prepared and submitted to tests in accordance with those specified in Document C2a 2204010306 dated 27 July 1973. In particular the tests included those listed in Table I and Table II of the Specification. Rearrangement of manufacturing facilities found to be desirable for improving operation efficiency and for reducing the handling of filter components during the manufacturing process, were completed. A Manufacturing Procedure was prepared and submitted to government personnel for examination and approval. Upon receipt of acceptance of the Engineering samples and of the Manufacturing Method, work began in the fabrication of First Article Filters. Equipment suitable for routine testing of the Filters in accordance with the Specification was assembled and checked.
