The results of a rigorous experimental study of monopole and dipole antennas modified to have electrically thick conducting cylinders at their centers are presented in this two-volume report. This configuration has many practical applications including antennas on shipboard or spacecraft where the satellite, rocket frame, or ships hull has physical dimensions on the order of a wavelength. Since no exact analytical formulation was available, the experimental design was precisely constructed to give the admittance, impedance, distributions of current and charge, and radiation patterns to a high degree of experimental accuracy. Distribution data were fitted with a least-squares polynomial which was used for normalization purposes and to compute the radiation fields. In this, the second volume of the report, the measured current and charge distributions are given along with radiation patterns obtained from direct measurements and calculated from the measured currents. The report closes with a general interpretation of the results and a discussion of their application to practical situations. Attention is directed to Volume I for a complete description of the experimental design, apparatus, and system of calibration, as well as measured admittance and impedance results.
