This report presents an improved theory for the calculation of incompressible, laminar-flow, nozzle discharge coefficients in planar nozzles. The theory includes the effects of acceleration of the free stream in a constant area section due to boundary layer growth three dimensionality, due to corner boundary layer interaction and, fully developed flow at very low Reynolds numbers due to opposing boundary layer interaction.
