A high-speed camera system has been designed and developed for use in holography. The specific applications are to be used in the area of experimental photomechanics especially in transmitted photoelasticity. The system was tested to determine its application to high speed recording with a pulse ruby laser. Multiple holograms were recorded on a single film. The characteristics exhibited by the camera and the high quality of the holograms indicated that the camera system has the potential to become a useful tool in dynamic photomechanics.
