Abstract:

Nearly all flight parameter information is transmitted to the pilot visually and it is well known that instrument scanning during zero visibility flying conditions can be fatiguing. Displays using information from other modalities can alleviate the demands of this task and this program was directed towards the development of tactile displays for flight control.
