Abstract:

The recent work of Dr. N. Boden LEEDS University on the nmr spin pairs is described. His method is based on a pulse sequence which permits separation of the intra-molecular and inter-molecular contributions of the dipolar interaction to the spin-lattice relaxation times. Application to the structure of crystal hydrates, molecule reorientation in solids, liquid crystals and concentrated electrolyte solutions are given.
