Abstract:

A technology assessment has been performed on the topic of high- energy lasers for the purpose of acquainting the Army Staff with this relatively new concept in R and D Management. Volume 1 of this three-volume report contains the technology assessment itself which consists of a brief description of the technology, followed by an abreviated impact analysis whose intent is to be illustrative of the methodology, rather than be a comprehensive treatment of the subject.
