The purpose of this project is to identify, examine, and evaluate certain cost-effectiveness relationships of the Short Range Aids to Navigation SRAN Sub-System developed by the United States Coast Guard. It was determined that a need exists to modify the present Aids to Navigation Management Information System. In addition to providing information, this report provides a legal and historical record of the navaid. A modified management information system is presented and its application is illustrated through selected cost-effectiveness analyses.
