Abstract:

A pragmatic noise control methodology is presented with emphasis on techniques for reducing the noise from existing vehicles. The Caterpillar model 830MB TractorScraper is used as an example to show how the vehicle operators noise exposure can be reduced 20 dBA. An extensive bibliography on contemporary noise control literature is also included.
