Abstract:

The ultraviolet and visible spectra of Tacot tetranitrodibenzo-1,3a, 4,6a-tetraazapentalene were determined in nine solvents in which the material was significantly soluble. These solvents were sulfuric acid, perchloric acid, nitric acid, glycerin, dimethylsulfoxide, ammonium hydroxide, morpholine, piperidine, triethanolamine, and N,N-dimethylformamide.
