Abstract:

The research reported herein is one of several WEARSCHFAC programs to develop improved typhoon prediction techniques. This particular study is one component of an overall effort to prepare an updated and more comprehensive WESTPAC typhoon climatology. It represents an aid to forecasting, rather than an objective prediction technique itself.
