Abstract:

Sediment grain sizes have been measured with an Andreasens Pipette, an EEL Photo-Extinction Sedimentometer with an MSA Particle Size Analyser on samples taken from a deep sea core. The results obtained with the EEL Photo-Extinction Sedimentometer and the Andreasens Pipette were in good agreement the MSA Particle Size Analyser result did not agree with the other two results.
